Okay, so I was at WalMart--I don't know if you have those in Australia but they are the most famous/notorious supermarkets in the U.S.--
I was at WalMart with my mom, doing some grocery shopping. After picking something up in the freezer aisle, mom said "I need to talk to you,"
She pulled me aside and whispered, "I found a wad of money and I don't know what to do with it! I don't just wanna take it and there will be a family who will go to pay for their groceries and their money disappeared. But i'm not going to just leave it back on the floor!"
Well...the truth was, there was no real solution to the problem but to keep the money. Anyone could except the money as a lie.
So we were in the car, and we came to a stop light, and mom said, "Let's count the money"
Pulled out the money--"Five, ten, fifteen, one-two-three-four-five!"
All that worry over twenty dollars.
And that's nothing compared to the 100/200/300? something it could've been. Still a nice find
Goos story, lol - twenty dollars isn't much, but at leats that means less guilt, and a little bit extra to buy something nicer for lunch or dinner at least
Fortunately, they thought it was mine.
