I interprete that strange word gross as another word for disgusting,right?
In that way,no offends,I must say I would very much find people gross who find people gross who leave their room as a mess(in terms of untidy,not talking about covered with banana peels or anything that actually rots or stuff like that).
If you think it´s DISTURBING,okay.But finding that disgusting (i.e. gross)is a case for the psychiatrist in my opinion.Again,no offends.

It does mean disgusting, just a shorter word for it

A messy room can be a haven for germs I suppose. Especially when they leave used laundry on the floor for days on end, or provide areas where cockroaches and spiders can hide. Not to mention the smell

But it is probably least disgusting one out of these.

I think that's something that 90% of people do anyway. I wouldn't condemn someone for doing it if they had something to wash their hands with straight afterwards. Wiping it off on something or flicking it doesn't count. My brother has no shame, I see him digging for buried treasure all the time, and scratching his nuts with his hand inside the underwear...He's quite a pig

I know - it's the part about doing it in public etc. and the fact that I consider snot outrageously gross. Shit, piss and puke: gross too, but snot takes the prize, I'd say.

Overall I'd say that it's worse, not to wash your hands after going to the toilet - and I'm definitely most comfortable with showering every day, just as I brush my teeth twice a day etc. But when snot is involved - snot wins!
