NEW information: Less than a day later and I've got many comments, thanks a lot for all your opinions :handshake: however one comment really got me thinking and is steering me towards a decision I didn't even consider before...
~SOULSSHINE showed me some youtube videos of the highest version - "Wacom Cintiq" in action, and also stated that if I'm going to be spending this much money, then why not go all the way and get the best? Of course, it's cost goes far beyond what I was originally intending on getting, however seeing how my own mother owes me a lot of money I lent her ages ago, I think I can still afford it and have some to spare. There's few reasons not to get this one, you can draw directly on the artwork on the screen, and if I'm limited for space, I could probably even sit it on my lap sometimes :XD: since it would be just like drawing on paper on a notepad!
Might as well ay? take advantage of the fact I have no house or car, and therefore - no bills to have to worry about at the moment, I don't want this to be the same situation like when I got the cheaper version of "Vue 6" and only months later, wished I bought the higher-level one :ohnoes:

(P.S sorry for the journal spammage, I'll try not to journal again until I get the tablet for real ;))

OLD information (just so the comments from before still make sense to readers)...
Lol, looks like I have yet another question again...the sort of stuff I should post in the forums, but I would probably get a more professional response from some of my watchers =p

Buying a Wacom Intuos3 tablet has only been on my mind for about a month now, but the urge to get one is to the point where I found myself bidding for one on ebay today (aww, I lost at the last second because my internet lagged :() However I used this misfortune to an advantage, maybe I should be getting a different one to what I was going to get...

I am looking at the "6x8 - A5" sized version, it seems to be an appropriate size; but for those who do have one, would you consider that too small to work comfortably? I was looking at `alexiuss's page earlier today and the one I had my eyes on is the same he uses, and he seems to do fine with that  But I wanted to know what you guys have and what would be the best one to go with (remember that I'm not made of money, I probably won't spend more than $600 Australian, hence why I'm searching ebay first ;))

Long story short, is it a classic case of "bigger is better"? I can't see myself needing something too huge. I now have my eyes turned to the "9x12 - A4" version...unless you reckon the smaller one will be enough, since the A4 size is a little beyond my range...even on ebay :hmm:

Thanks for your thoughts in adavnce :handshake:

Yeah...I need to change this footer lol, hope Pepsi is OK?

Oh yes, I ignored the ones who said get some other, cheaper brand  oh well, can't blame them for trying, maybe it's the best that they can afford. I'm really gunning for the Wacom Cintiq at the moment :excited:

Hmm...

You know what, I bought my tablet in the Philippines. Sure it's not a Wacom, but when I saw the price of the tablet over here, it was 50% higher than the tablet I have currently. D:

Want me to buy your one in December? xD
My family's going to the Philippines for a shopping spree.... I mean to visit our relatives! 8D

Lol, that's a very nice offer :aww: But many comments from others have stated that the actual Wacom brand is the way to go, many that got the cheaper ones found themselves upgrading to a Wacom not too long after, So I'm better off getting that one straight away ;) Besides, I'm not sure if I can wait until December :excited:

LOl, don't worry, I don't have a job either, I just have all my money stored up slowly over time from past Christmas's and Birthdays  (yeah, I rarely spend what I get, and this is exactly why, since there's bound to be something expensive that I want)

Ah, I have a cintiq 12wx, and I adooorree it. It seriously makes everything I do digitally take less time. Much more intuitive than other tablets I own. I have had no problems with precision it it, except around the edges of the screen a bit, and you can adjust the settings to fix that. In the videos it looks like it's lagging, but that's just an effect of the angle it's viewed at.

I have previously owned a graphire, an intuos, and I'm now using the cintiq. I can honestly say it's one of the best investments I have ever made.

Cool! until I get one, I will have to be jealous of the fact you have one  I can only imagine they'd be the best of the lot, and I'm glad I got a comment here from someone who actually has experienced one too...seems to be nothing but positive :XD:

Ah, maybe it'd be nice too to make a testdrive! The shop should have 1 opened sample of each for you to test, since it's an expensive item...

Lol, the shops here don't even stock them! so they definetily wouldn't have test ones...You can hardly get shit in Australia's computer stores :| I would have to either buy it online, or get the store to order it :(

Ah, it's unlucky, isn't it? In Brazil, the stores, if lucky, only have the smallest simplest one. Genius is the most common brand for the ones who don't have any acquaintance going abroad (or aren't going themselves).
But Australia is way nearer Japan, there should have had more Wacoms...
