Ugh, this is the first time in over a week I've had enough energy to stay up long enough to even type up a new journal entry. I am coming out of one of the worst bouts of illness I've had all year so I'll probably be over it in a few days hopefully. But unfortunately it has ruined everything I had planned art-wise since not much can get done when it's an effort just to get out of bed :sleep:

What sucks most is missing out on my yearly Halloween submission. I know a lot of people like those and have even told me they look forward to them. But this year mine had to be cut short. I had it started weeks ago, and then it was forced to be left to gather dust while I lay in bed struggling to breathe. It was going to be a real cool one too :grump: Oh well, I'll just have to put it aside for next year. I'm trying to get something "last minute" done now but it still probably won't be finished on time (and afterwards - who cares?) It won't be anything special, but I suppose I need something to submit to represent October, I don't want an empty space when I do my summary of art meme at the end of the year :nuu:

I kinda blame my new job for my frequent flu's I've been getting. Seems odd that a guy like me - who normally gets sick once every 2 years, suddenly started working and has now had it 3 times in 5 months. Guess that's what happens when you have to clean up after people every shift. You pick up more than their glasses and plates :dead: I don't hate the job though, I just will be really pissed if after this I just repeat the process again and have to go through a fourth flu before Christmas. Getting sick every other month is torture, I thought I was supposed to build up an immunity after repeat exposures? :crying:

I am. I just haven't bothered making a new journal (it's hard to do when you have nothing going on in your life :lol:)

I am grateful you’re fine but your comment on “it's hard to do when you have nothing going on in your life”. You’re mistaken you’re a great benefit to art and science with you can make a tremendous contribution to me and everyone you come in contact. Art to me is cultivating the human heart and transforming our attitudes that we can begin to give rise to our dreams about who we are and where going, good or bad is, we can overcome our alleviation to our suffering. I love art because it’s freedom for me on two planes, psychological and physical level. I may not know you bottom line I feel warmth for what you do.

I do enjoy my artwork, though I feel like the only art I can do now is commissioned work, since actual work uses up some of my other free time :hmm:

Unfortunately myself being an artist isn't recognized outside of dA. No-one in real life knows what I'm capable of unless I can show them my work. As far as they know I'm just some random guy :doh:

A random guy Hell No! Your artworks are a part of you not all of you, similar to your body (ART) and mind (YOU). Only your psychological is your true genius. There is one "Priteeboy". There are many structures of communications love, art, music, cooking, writing…ect

I hope you're feeling better now. :hug: Being sick is absolutely no fun, especially when it's so bad, you can't do much of anything. x_x Every year around January/February, I seem get sick without fail. I suppose I should be lucky that it's only once a year, but since I haven't been sick much in my life they seem to come on twice as bad. Last year's was the absolute worst I've had in a while, since I also had bad allergy sinus problems around that time as well. :grump:

And again, sorry for the super-late comments and replies. Somehow your journals keep getting lost in my message box (but I guess that's expected when I constantly have 400+ messages in my inbox). I need to try to do better with that. ^^;

We have the same situation. Normally I get sick very rarely, usually "skipping" every other flu season. But last year I got hit 3 times in just little over one season. I'd only be healthy for a couple of weeks before it came back again. Never have I been so sick so frequently in my life :dead:

But this is kinda old news now, I need something interesting to happen to me to make it worth updating this thing ^^;

:paranoid: as silly as that sounds, try getting some vitamin C. My mother never gets a cold during Winter anymore since she started eating tangerines/oranges. And I had a pretty bad cold recently and started taking these vitamin C tablets too, and in a couple of days I was fine. I'm lazy so I stopped taking them as soon as I was okay again, but if you can take one every day, it will help a lot. :nod:

I must admit that I had vitamin C tablets that I was supposed to take daily. But I just forgot, then this happened soon after :slow:

But I still find it hard to believe Vitamin C alone is a guaranteed Flu-shield. It's impossible to avoid when coming in direct contact with it (or touching something they got their germs all over :bleh:) It may help reduce the chance, but nothing comes between a sick person and their sneeze or cough spray :blownose:

:lol: I SEE.

I doubt it's a guaranteed one, but even if it's impossible to avoid germs, it really helps a lot. I would say actual fruit helps more than tablets because it has other stuff in it too, but both work; and yes, I guess that there are germs you CAN'T avoid... :noes:
I think it's just about immunitary system. Anything can make it weaker, from a disease to "simple" stress; recently my immunitary system weakened so much that the eye infection that blinded my left eye could awaken again and start affecting my right one. And all the blood testing I did showed no disease, I had just been going through an awful period that lowered my defenses.
So in the end, I think everything plays a factor when defending yourself against germs an at the same time, every little thing that you can do helps a lot. :XD:
