I figured I'd take time out of my Christmas day today and do something that I thought would be a great idea for anyone who's up to it...
Today I chose 10 people on my watchlist and sent them a detailed, but unique to the last comment on why I value their presence so much. I did not choose just the "best artists" or the most popular, as the point is to choose artists who in a way, have done something for YOU, or at least make you feel like you, and your opinions actually have mattered to them, and artists who are in general - very good and patient with dA's demanding, and sometimes overbearing community. Artists who are like-minded and who you would get along really well with in real life, in spite of any differences in skill levels or popularity

Well, I picked the following, it was hard just picking 10 though, I can assure you! I just don't want to come across like I'm playing favourites here


As you can see, they are all of varying skill levels, varying popularity and of varying "type" of art they do, but what they all have in common is that they have each done me a favour of some sort in the past, whether it was great advice, a feature, or just plain being awesome to have a convo with

Well, that's all for now, Maybe I could start a "thing" going here that would have strengthened and spread by next Christmas that will be all over dA, so if that happens, just remember who started it Merry Christmas everybody!!!

old information - I win the Earth + Other goodies:
What was a bad morning for me today was quickly turned around when I realised that I came FIRST PLACE in the very first of a long line of environmental contests called "eARTh" check the new's article here [link] which has features from me and the two other top-ranking contestants, as well as info on the next contest theme that some of you might be interested in entering, and maybe comment or fave it if you like to help it get on the popular news today list, which in turn would help me out more too

However, even if I didn't win, I still feel like that has done a lot for me, it skyrocketed to me second most popular deviation within its first week, and out of 120 deviations I have, it's only one of four that has made it past 1000 favourites, and only one of two that got that many without needing a DD...It amazes me how some artists get that many faves on all their submissions, all the time

In other news, Christmas is only two days away. I'm a little skeptical since Christmas in't always the "merriest" day of the year in my family, we behave a lot like the Simpsons do at that time of the year, hopefully it won't be a disaster like the other times But even so, I'm still looking forward to the day, and new-year's too, along with the holidays afterwards

Also, I'll be getting Vue 7 Infinite soon hopefully...at least no later than early janurarary, I even tried purchasing it yesterday but ran into some problems, so I guess it's just the holiday season to blame. Anyway, I'll be updating and promoting the various Vue artist case studies, and extra goodies found at ~nukeation's personal site every once in a while in 2009 too, so anyone who uses the program, or is thinking about getting it would find it very interesting
