Where Is My Motivation? The sun is high.
The sky is blue.
And I'm inside
With lots to do.
And I can't get
Off of my ass
Oh, this is youth?
No, thanks, I'll pass.
Where is my motivation?
I chose a dumb vocation.
Where is my motivation?
My poor imagination.
The air is sweet
But I can't breathe.
I've got more pain
Than you'd believe.
I want to win,
Want to succeed,
Want to accomplish
And achieve.
But where's my motivation?
I'll say the incantation.
Where is my motivation?
Ain't got no destination, no.
Ain't got no destination, no.
Ain't got no destinationnn....

SeasonsThe year begins in Winters Wrath
The icy cold, snow and sleet.
The frigid air and frozen ground
Nature lies untamed.
The thaw begins
The snow slowly melts.
The ground is once again soft
And color returns to the world.
We spring forward as Spring begins.
The cherries blossom as flowers bloom
The grass is once again green.
Color returns to a once cold world
Life is started once again.
The world begins anew.
The Spring comes slowly to an end
The sun begins to beam through the colors of nature
Summer wakes to the splashes of water
As the sprinklers dance and wave
But time goes on as the sun falls back with the time

Where all your rights will be ignored
This is where you shout as you like
But try as you might you wont be heard
Driven by a band of morons
And paid for by the working man
Tax the poor then tax the rich
Then tax your soul and the life you live
How far will they take this
And what's the price that you will pay
Will you jump at their command
Or fight for what we were promised

Those moments
You know, life has its simple pleasures and its bad ones. We've all got things we're thankful for. Things we regret or are sad for. We've all got irreplaceable memories: Road trips, theme parks, or just random days sitting at home. I've got my fair share of those things I don't want to forget. I'm talking to the closest friend I've ever had, Ronnie Farmer. I could never replace him. He's a brother to me, No less. My opposite but my equal half. Ive been through a lot with him. He never gave up on me and was there for me when nobody else was. He is that person who even though has nothing to do with the situation would say he would and si

This may help in setting prices, sales contracts, royalty agreements, etc:

I was sloppy in my sales agreements in the early years, and now I cannot even show the work on DA without the buyers permission. Many of them I can't even track down years later, and two have said no.
So, it is very important to use the proper sales agreements, to protect your rights. There are standardized sales agreement forms you can get.
Even selling a work basically royalty free, should still retain some controls on the use of your work, like to forbid its use to racially defame others, etc., and to retain the right to show your art to the general public, or have it published in an art book, or on a web page commemorating your work.
---------------------------
Something to consider in the future, for art to be used in an ad campaign, for book covers, web pages, games, movies, etc, is to manage the rights.
Managing your copyright rights is complex enough to warrant an artists time to look into it and understand it.
For example, the art you sold could have been set up with a royalty agreement that only kicks in if a certain number of units is sold, or a certain gross proceeds are earned, and then you get a small royalty for each game sold. Volume adds up.
An agreement like this is preferred by some buyers because if their venture does not pan out, it won't cost them anything more. When their business is fighting to become viable, they don't have to worry about the extra expense of paying royalties. Then, once they are profitable, they are in a better position to pay royalties.
Some agreements change if your work is going to be used in commerce (to sell something).
Many artists negotiate on a case by case basis, and some use standardized contracts based on end use of your work, quantity, etc.
I hope some of this is of some use.
Hmm, well as you can imagine, like all young people, I did kinda rush into it, the money was tempting, though I got the opinions of family and friends first, and many of my watchers here, and after some discussion, I averaged everyone's opinions out as best as I could and I figured it was a wirthwhile amount of money
I'm about to sell another work now actually, and as you can imagine, I'm taking the legal rights and so-on much more seriously
The best of luck with you upcoming sale.
I'm glad you took our advice and I'm very glad you got 400$ for it. That is a much fairer price. Congratulations. You are number one.
