Hi, sorry for pestering everyone with (what is it now?...FOUR Journals in one week? lol, thats not like me) Anyway, I'm gonna pull a Jerry Springer here and give my "Final thought" on some things relating to my previous journals (which will be removed later since I only keep the more "important" ones) and if you last long enough, well I'll try to put some positive stuff at the end.

Collections: the idea of collections was one of DA's better ones I think, or at least it's original intentions were. But to me now, I'm already over the whole "collection" thing. Not only did my own plan to make my own collections both work, AND backfire on me at the same time. But the other "popular" collections left me in an even more disgruntled mood. It seems most of the popular collections were filthy and blatant PORN, no, not "artistic nude" but just pussy and ass shots. I know this because the titles of the collections were given names just as distasteful as those. "Porn", "Sexy", "Hentai", "Ass shots", "Hot girls", "Pussy"...If I knew my collections would be up against those, which got heaps of faves quickly from this sites filthy porn addicts who have DA running while they flog their log, then I wouldn't have bothered.
And don't get me started on those who made collections entirely of their OWN work to gain more popularity. Those narcissists can lick my balls.
But hey, the "Space and Science Fiction" one still made it to the first page, so it worked in one way...Too bad that during the few days my collections were getting attention, my own gallery was getting half the attention and my faves and comments received have been the lowest ever since 2006.

Features: like collections, the concept of "featuring someones work" is a great one. We all love it when an artist more popular than ourselves features our work, I know I do. But that too can bring out the sour side of someone who just wants to do the general public some good. Before I rant here, let me say that if you WERE featured in one of the other journals (provided you participated in what I asked, those who didn't are in no-mans land right now and I have no problem with), you are safe and don't fall into this category of watchers that I refer to as "seagulls". I gave these few, shallow-minded people that name because, like seagulls at a beach, they come out of nowhere in massive flocks as soon as you hold out a hot chip (or in this case, a feature offer) and pretty much will stoop to the lowest levels just to get the most meagre morsel. I can't tell you how many dozens of people this week have faved heaps of my collections AND art, and then have removed them by the time I visited them, just for attention...I'm not stupid y'know? just too lazy to filter these out from the rest.
I intend on doing features for some special artists in the future, but they will be of my choosing and I won't be offering them at large like before...my friends, DON'T pull this stunt, it will make you lose a SHITLOAD of respect for this site's members. Just ask :iconemmil:...she just had a similar thing happen, when all she wanted to do was a favour for the public, in return for a favour from them to help her out, and it all just had adverse effects.

And now for the positive part you spent all that time skipping through the rest to see lol...I'll be submitting my 100th deviation very soon, I'm excited :excited:

Yeah...I need to change this footer lol, hope Pepsi is OK?

Lol, now that it's happened once, I'm sure it won't be such a shock next time.

Just like art theft, it's happened to me before, and I ranted before. But I found some new offenders today, and am not gonna make another journal-rant on THAT lol.

That smurf thing sounds bad. But still, I am more offended by actual photo's of that stuff than cartoony, drawn stuff (even if it's violent)

I personally feel that they can be equally disturbing. Photos might be more realistic, but anything drawn can go much, much, much further. I mean, we're talking about ripping open live smurfs here who are in pain, and forcing to eat the legs of their babies... :/ Anyone able to put that in photography, must be a real master at Photoshop... (and someone with the brain to become such a master, is probably smart enough to not do low things like what I mentioned...)

Sheeze, there will always be those few that can ruin things for the many. :disbelief:
I guess all we can do is report them if we come across them.

You have no idea how many times I've run across that on this site. :| Features are nice, but that's why I can't blame people who refuse to participate in featuring other people because they end up having their kindness reaped of the rewards by other morons who just want the extra page views for themselves and nothing more. Kinda sad if you ask me. I agree with keeping it more low-profile next time around--after seeing what happened here I think it's for the best. :P I have to personally thank you again for featuring me though in your first journal. That was very nice of you. :)

Also, I heartily look forward to seeing your 100th submitted deviation. This should be a blast. :D

Yeah, there would be millions here that do it. And now I suddenly have changed my mind about "stuck-up popular artists who never do a thing for their watchers"...I now am totally on their side. If I got such a bad reaction, then lord only knows what a really popular artist would get :faint:

And yes, glad to feature you (put yours right on the top, I thought one of my most loyal watchers deserved it :D) and I'm already interested in seeing what you have to say about my big 100th :excited:

Exactly. :) You know, before I've always been a bit unsure of artists who had garnered so much popularity...I mean I like to be bit more personal with my friends and the people that I watch just as you are with yours. But, you really have to look at their side of things and see how they have it. More often than not people fail to see what it'd be like to walk a mile in their shoes. And you know what? The fact that others try and take advantage of them...hell, anyone for that matter...just sickens me. :P

Wow, you put me on the top of the journal because of that? Thank you! I never even thought of it that way, but it makes the fact that I was featured by such an extraordinary artist as yourself even more special. It truly means a lot. :) And heck yes, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what you got up your sleeve...and I'm more than sure I'll have nothing but great things to say about it. :D

Dude! THANK YOU! I've been signed onto this site since like February but I didn't actually start using it until this summer and to be honest in the few short weeks I've noticed that exactly. Every where I look people are posting nude shots or collections or naked chicks. FINALLY, somebody says something about it. Thanks man.

Lol, well I've heard some rant about it in the forums, but nobody in the forums take each other seriously. But I sure am sick of people rounding up all the porn-"art" they can find, putting it into a collection, then getting pageviews and praise for it.

It works in two levels, not only is it a filthy act, but they are pretty much taking advantage of another artists work in order to bring more attention to them. Unlike me, I bet they never even commented or faved the work beforehand, to show that they really appreciate it.

Yeah, so true. I really never like nude art myself though. It's not really an art to me.
It's easy to pose nude and take a picture. If you want to call it art paint a naked person but even so I'm still not a fan of it. Manet is a good example but I couldn't tell you a single one of his paintings.

Some people care to much about publicity here. I'd be happy with just a few people following my story. Just to know there are some reading it and they like it is enough for me you know?
