Funny how I said under my last deviation "
I'll post the next in a few days" for the first time, and yet also for the first time ever - I went over a month without submitting anything
but hey, reasons beyond my control really
Anyway, this was my second of two entries to
The Luminarium's exhibit given the theme "dimensions". With such a theme, it's no surprise that space-related things were a popular choice, and mine were just that! The concept is clear, "stars" are represented as five-pointed objects in many cases, yet the real things are spheres of flaming gas, so I just mixed them together and got a star-shaped star
P.S, it's in "surreal" rather than the sci-fi or space category because it's not a scientifically accurate concept, but rather something more imaginative and dreamlike.

it's true, stars are bigger than what people give them credit for. People think the earth will end in 2012 cause of the sun's expansion or something like that, but i don't believe that $hit. (I think it would happen billions of years from now. cause scientists can only make a hypothesis, right?
Again, I have to say it, THIS IS AWESOME!
There's lots of theories about 2012, some are non-space related (supervolcanoes , political uproar and war etc) the ones that are include a so-called "companion star" that orbits really far from the sun coming in close, its gravity forcing Earth out of its orbit and destroying it. Or a huge asteroid or small planet coming in and doing that job too. Either way I doubt the event (if any) will be from space since scientists would have seen it coming by now. Except for things like gamma ray bursts from neighbouring stars that rush in at the speed of light and will destroy all life in a second
though it's an amazing work ^^
but the one they use is not even half as good as yours
