Nothing like a surreal stroll upside down and right way up at the same time for this year's Halloween themed artwork Not for the easily disoriented and feeble-willed, but that's just Halloween!
Making this didn't feel like much of a stroll though, in fact I must admit it felt like a tedious chore for the most part, only getting really exciting near the end, so I can say to everyone not to expect many ones like this at all. But having at least one out of the ordinary for my gallery like this makes it worth consuming my whole October (even if half if it was procrastinating on the boring bits ) I still didn't give up simply because I've had this on my mind since last Halloween but didn't give myself enough time for it then...That and I loved the title I thought of too much to waste
This one's fully digitally painted, I didn't use any 3D here or even textures. It was an interesting perspective exercise too but I'm no pro at that so it might be prone to flaws but hopefully not enough to disrupt the effect of it. And yes, you can save it and flip it upside down to look at the other if you want to, just no re-posting
All artwork in my gallery remains my copyrighted creative work and is not to be redistributed, modified or sold without my permission
It is a game. LOL sorry, I think I just assume things, but long story short The Fade is another dimension (sort of like Purgatory) where people go when they dream and also the home to demons. There was a city there which you only ever see from the distance, hovering on these spectral landmasses, called The Black City.
This makes me think of what the Black City might look like upclose, all topsy turvy and weird, and slighty macabre and dream-esque.
