I'll buy a subscribtion to anyone who has seen a more realistic interpretation of Super mario World...even in the games Lol.
Well that was my intention anyway, Mario games have always had a cartoony charm about them which is why I enjoy them so much. I decided to do this after playing some of the older games, and the one on DS.
The hills, mushroom, fruits and block of land in the foreground were modelled in Cinema 4D, while the rest and some of the textures were done in Vue 6. Some of the textures were made by me in Photoshop. The final render had minimal Photoshop input ( aside from minor cloning and smoothing of undesirsble features ). Surprisingly, the render took just over 4 hours...pretty quick by my standards.
....Makes me wonder what bowser would look like ?
