But Now I'm over it I can re-appreciate this again as another artwork which can finally be put into my gallery. The composition was set up for that initial purpose though and so may not entirely be what I would have gone with if it was going to just be another art-piece from the beginning and nothing more. But with no layered file anymore, Myself and the viewers are stuck with it as-is
Anyway, it's safe to say that everytime a big movie, game, book, whatever comes out, all fan-art generated from it is about the characters. Avatar seems to have inspired the highest ratio of landscape-focused tributes and I guess this is another contributor to that (plus if I tried to draw a Na'Vi I'm sure it would have come out laughably fake compared to the scenery). I even paid careful attention to some good references I found of the fictional plants that made the most significant impact in the night-time scenes. My inner gardener was very critical about achieving botanical accuracy to plants that aren't even real
i was searching a background for avatar. we have animation costumes and i wanted to make poster of it. i liked your background but i had to use another one. i liked even how it was blocked later i can show how it looks like.
i'm not good at it but i am sure i'l be.
and i think when you can create something, it's best way to do it and not to use more other things
Really, I'm just speechless...
A lot of the plants, including that one are based right out of those I saw in the movie
Such a bummer! But yeah, it's still an amazing piece on-screen so you should still be really proud of this one. Is this the first time you tried to get it printed for something like that?
I need to watch that movie again! It would be cool to see all the details on my dad's tv when I visit him next.
Lucky a second one I did with a more typical underwater theme I took to somewhere else for printing came out much better
Hmm, tough to have to found out like this! Glad that other place worked out though. Are you using if for your own tank?
Love that quote in your sig btw!
