Nightfall by priteeboy Nightfall by priteeboy
Some people who have seen My gallery would instantly notice that this is similar to the original 'Balmy Nights' [link] but with the notable feature of looking way better, I'd wanna hope so considering that this took more time than any of My previous submissions by far. I was also trying to draw different types of trees which took longer but in return, look better and other major improvements are the detail in the rocks and stars. Hopefully this does better than the first... Because it took nearly 30 hours in total, double the time of most other artworks in My gallery.

Like most of My work, it was created using Photoshop CS2 and a bit of Paint shop 6.

Need I remind people that this is not to be displayed anywhere without my persmission. Ripping not allowed

I love this one.^^ There seems to be a lot of movement going on to me,
but at the same time peaceful. You really showed how the night can
be filled with beautiful things.^^

I use psp 7, 8 and 9 but I find 7 the nicest to use. It's a great program to produce nice effects with the clone brush along with other tools that is has. This is beautiful and I wish I was there to hear the sounds of the waterfall and smell the flowers.

Sometimes the newest version isn't always the most comfortable =p The clone brush is a real life saver sometimes too :phew: Glad you liked this :)

I love night scenes. They have so much potential for atmosphric beauty alone.
Which you capture wonderfully, of course. ^^

This is a fascinating night scenery.
The moon is half, the sky is almost clear with thousand of bright stars shining on him and one of them falling. If it was real I'd make a wish, even if I don't think those wishes can come true.
The combination of the different kind of plants along with the waterfall and some clouds in the distant sky makes the scenery magical. If there were any fairies or other magical creatures there,I wouldn't be surprised.I think it would suit it perfectly.I'd like to stay in a place like that even for a minute. It would give me memories to bury for a life.

Thanks, the half-moon was a change from the more popular full moons you see in these fantasy type sceneries :XD: your'e right about all the rest though, realistically I don't think those wishes come true either, those falling stars are just space dust burning up in the atmosphere, and I was a little shocked to learn that hundreds, or even thousands occura globally every day, many are simply unnoticed during the day and at night - well most normal people aren't up looking at the sky  I've seen one this year though, and regardless of the science - I wish anyway :fingerscrossed:

Well, the fact that people keep on wishing when they notice them shows that sometimes even science isn't enough to make us stop believe in some things, just like they're trying to prove things that didn't exist in religions:shakefist:,even if they actually did.(Personally,I'm against those people, because it's been proved several times that what they're doing seems to be the right thing without being.A lot of issues have been tended to be proved fake under economical liscence or orders being given by people that have great power, you know who :rage:) .It seems that sometimes, when you learn the truth,it's not filling your mind with the explanation given. You keep being unsatisfied.Thereby, you keep doing things that you've been used to before you learn it.:DPlus,I think that you can still wish, because it's like what they say with the genies and the lamps(somehow). You massage the lamp and the genie comes out and ask you for a number of wishes.(I think it's because it got out and because it is a spirit. That means it's already dead:dead:).You see a falling star:iconstarplz:,you make a wish because a part of it it's going away,it's like "dying",and we all know that every end makes a new beginning.According to that, either you wish that the energy that's been wasted on that will be yours to manipulate with your wish and make the circumstances alike to achieve your goal or as it's "dying",it has the chance to give you luck.

Thanks, this is actually made to match the other one you commented yesterday =p since artwork like this is constantly being used in other people's lame-ass photomanipulations of stolen images and such, I watermarked this and a few others that are more theft-prone than the others, so that's why the logo is there I'm afraid :iconsadnod:

I saw that journal too

This is amazing in every detail, the only thing I could point out that looks a bit off is the still water at the end of the waterfall... and I'm not even too sure why...

Awesome.

I see what you mean, there is a rippling point closer to the waterfall, I actually wanted the waterfall to appear very large, so the lake would be bigger than you think, allowing water to settle before it reaches the other end. But I guess thats a perspective thing I need to work out, glad you like my art :)
