New Nebula by priteeboy New Nebula by priteeboy
One of eight submitted peices from the first artpack that #Attrius has released in a long time and thus was given the theme Rebirth because of it. There's some very nice works for anyone interested in this genre to look at :)

This unusual, colourful and almost symmetrical formation looks quite unnatural but similar do exist for real in the Universe. Called a Planetary Nebula, given the name since in the early days of observation the best one could see was a fuzzy circular dot, their generally round-ish shapes especially as viewed from side-on were mistaken for planets. They are in fact the remanants of deads stars, but not ones that had a death large and violent enough to go off with a bang (Supernova) but rather the less commonly illustrated normal "Nova" alone, the star expends is fuel eventually and layers of often bubble-like gas clouds start ejecting out from it forming very dramatic and surprisingly well-structured shapes :omg:
All that's left behind is a white dwarf - the small glowing core of the star that used to be in the middle of it all. It'll eventually fade into nothing but the gas and dust all around will provide building materials for the next Solar System. Planets are seen forming via rotating masses of dust and rocks to the right to show this (but realistically it wouldn't happen so soon afterwards ;p)

There's a little science lesson for ya anyway :blahblah: and also what I think is a rare but beautiful subject among the space art galleries :)

This reminds me of the Crab Nebula. It's colors, shape, and
the fact it has a pulsar.
Try to look it up.

I actually got my inspiration from the Hourglass nebula and the Cat's Eye nebula most of all...It resembles those even more I think ;)

Особенно великолепны квазары, пульсары, собственно чёрные дыры. Очень опасны, но в то же время поражают своим великолепием. Сама очень люблю тему Вселенной и её космических объектов, потому ваши работы для меня находка.

Very inspirational, I've seen a newspaper clipping with this same happening. Details are very small, and that gives this so much life.

You really should have some of these up for sell! YOU KNOW WHAT. You should be those concept artists for NG that show how certain galaxies and stars look like. YEAH.

I'd love to work on those space animations for documentaries etc - since by my standards today many of them still look pretty unrealistic...then again, they need 3D animators who understand the programs particle dynamics and so-one to animate such effects - and I have no understand of how all that works :slow: but stills shouldnt be a problem :D

Man what the hell is up with the lack of favs! This is a brilliant painting, the colors or too cool, I don't think I have ever seen orange used so well! It seems rare in space art :D A great addition for your gallery.

I have no idea, seems like anything I produce lately is getting way less faves that what I was getting this time last year...maybe people just lost interest

Lol, that wa sintended to be more red than orange, but either way I was trying to successfully pull off an unusual colour scheme so I'm glad to hear it worked :D
