Having been on DA for two years today, and having been a Mario fan ever since I first held a Nintendo control over a decade ago, I wondered "Why hasn't Mario appeared in my gallery?" So I decided to catch up on Marios latest adventure in Space! *echoes the word space a few times*

I havn't had the privelidge of playing Super Mario Galaxy yet, But seeing some videos, especially of him flying through this stage in "Melty Molten Galaxy" really inspired me to do what I hope was a very epic illustation of Mario's grand Debut in my gallery! Hope y'all like it!

Dude, you made this entirely from scratch?! o___O; Holy....God....wow....

Man, for a second there I thought I was looking at an official piece of artwork directly from the game. :P Guess I thought wrong. =P You've got some amazing professionalism running strong through your blood, and every idea you come up with is a dream come true. Seriously dude...the effects on this are so incredible...it's like pure eye candy. Never would I have ever expected something this great. Definitely :+fav:ing this, all the way. :D

You gotta do more of these. Seriously, insane. o__o

For Mario's pose, I used a screenshot from a Youtube video as a "base" since I didn't want to risk ruining it, but I went over it completely, whilist changing the lighting too ( I had too...as you know, Youtube stuff is of terrible image quality )
As for the drawing/art process goes, It was all done from scratch, I even refused to use textures like I do on some of my landscape/space scenes since I prefer all my fan-art to be done "the hard way" lol.

This is amazing! I love the details you put in, and the fire reflecting in Mario's eyes is a nice touch as well.
