Ice World II by priteeboy Ice World II by priteeboy
This is the remake version of a very old piece that was long ago moved to my scraps to gather dust [link]. Remakes of past pieces get onto my mind quite often as even though the work itself is amateur, I think some would make very interesting pieces when done with my present-day skill level. So at least here's one done :)

This was made to be put into the Draw This Again contest alongside the original. The entry can be viewed here:

I like how the pillars of ice in the foreground look like actual ice in the real world. Very nicely done!

Funny, I have looked this and even though I hate the cold, this gives me some peace in looking at it. I guess there is beauty in everything if we look long enough. Would I live there? No, I prefer a tropical setting but yet in its way this place is very appealing. I am sure that there must be some life flowing beneath the surface--temperature is just a relative thing here then. As far as your Art work you again have hit right on. It is a Beautiful Picture, Matthew, but then again I have never seen any of work that did not appeal to me that you have done. I just don't know why no one hasn't snatched you up to do illustrations for a book. Your work is so lifelike and awesome to behold, you truly have a talent!!!!!

I think the formations of ice that happen in polar areas look really awesome, like grand abstract sculptures or places that just look fun to climb (if you wouldn't keep slipping off them) I've seen pictures of some with "pools" of melted ice in them, forming the clearest, bluest water I've ever seen, even moreso than the tropics (though being so cold, I'd still rather go in the tropical sea)

I've done some book covers before, and CD covers/posters too. That's a start

Wow great ice effect. Amazing and personally I love planets in the background, otherwise it wouldn't be spacey.
