This will be the last time you will ever see the Sun set…
It is predicted that in 5 billion years time, the Sun will run out of energy and as its core shrinks, the outer layers will expand and cool forming a Red Giant star. It won’t all happen at once but instead the Sun will grow slowly over hundreds or thousands of years, the size of its diameter will be big enough to devour Mercury and Venus and reach out to near Earth, being this close to the dying Sun, Earths surface will melt and its atmosphere will be blown away by Solar wind…Here it is not even halfway to its final size yet and the popular myth is that the Sun will explode when it reaches full size, however only massive stars do this ( as if the Sun wasn’t big enough already ) It will rather shed all gaseous material slowly and dissipate into a coloured cloud encircling the white glowing core of the Sun which may only be the size of Earth, so after the great inferno comes a deep freeze and all that ever was is now gone forever.

Well it has been a very long time since my last landscape artwork that had no 3D renders involved but here is what I’ve been working on for hours a day over the past 2 and a half weeks, yeah it took a while but I thought I’d exercise my Photoshop skills while keeping stock photos and textures to a minimum ( two thirds of what you see was done from scratch ) Since only recently I have taken a shine to Matte painting and so I decided to make an attempt at that.

Long explanation, I know but I didn’t spend all this time just to say nothing. Hope you like the art and the concept too !

hi i'm making a trading card game and i was wondering if i could use this drawing for a card i will give credit where it is deserved and plus its a easy way to spread your art plus you can still use them for your project the card game is called Paragon Galaxy the concept is a galaxy built where all these worlds exist for the perfect galaxy . The galaxy will grow and grow until this perfection is formed sorry in advance if this is a rude question to ask
