Description
First tablet drawn artwork! Yep, it's true - so newcomers to my gallery might want to consider that the previous 117 deviations in my gallery are all mouse-drawn...proof you don't need a tablet to digitally draw anything worthwhile...But I'll say that having one sure makes digital painting feel much more natural on the hand, and more enjoyable too
As you can see, it's pretty detailed for a first tablet attempt, that dosn't mean I was pro at first try. the first week was spent just scribbling some horrid clouds, landscapes, nebula's and anime drawings, just quick practices...Once I felt confident enough, I decided to start my first proper drawing with it here.
This original character (yet to be named, I'll only bother if I draw him again lol) was first drawn in manga-style on paper, scanned and then coloured in Photoshop..That's the "usual" method that most do it in, but one I'd never try with the mouse I was going for a semi-realistic look here...Not quite photo-realistic, but still more realistic in proportions and shading than "normal" manga anyway...Spent around 15 hours or so, would have been quicker if I weren't so nitpicky with the skin shading and still kinda new to tablet-drawing. However that is STILL much quicker than the many other deviations in this style I have drawn with the mouse beforehand...Enjoy!
Edit: Some stated that the face was too short (I guess he looked kinda "butch") so I made it longer, in real life - by about 2 inches or so. I tried fixing the lips too, but not sure if I made them worse I also levelled out the uneven eyes too.
Artwork and character design are both created and illustrated by me. Please do not use or re-produce my art or characters in any way on any site
