Artist's Comments
The second of my series of seasonal bonsai trees, started in Autumn with Blushing Bonsai. Each one will be submitted at the time it's particular season is at it's peak (for those in Summer right now, remember it's winter where I am) This was delayed a little due to other stuff like my Birthday deviation, a club pack entry, and my 100th deviation, all of which had to be done first. Though I saved a little time because I started it a wile back, and finishe dit recently (thats how I was able to submit it so soon after my last lol)
The scene was intended to be similar, but not the same as the other one, the tree is noticably different with it's cascading shape, and the background has changed too. It's not supposed to be the same tree in the same spot, just a similar "idea" over all. Since it's dark, I could postwork the trunk later, making it's edges a but more rough and bumpy, by "cloning" parts of the existing trunk in Photoshop, the snow-covered side will remain fairly smooth, seeing how the snow would "fill out" the parts that it covered
