With the Onslaught of Autumn and my own Bonsai trees turning over a new leaf, I thought I'd do something Fall-Themed. Plus, I wanted to create another scene in Vue6 too, which I havn't done that much lately.
T'was hell for my wittle laptop though, the full size is 3800x2508 which is big, but not huge, yet my laptop couldn't handle rendering it all at once, so I did it in two halves, both of which summed up to around 14 hours rendering time and were grafted together in Photoshop. The scene contained just under 5 Billion polygons, which explains a lot The main tree is composed of many objects, I used Metablobs to sculpt out the roots from cylinders and cones, a "Dead tree" for the main trunk and branches, and several custom trees for each leaf-cluster. Postwork was minimal, about an hours work in PS, so this is mostly Vue's glory here

Glad you noticed that, I noticed that though many of my deviations have plenty of detail, many also lack a sense of grand scale, and landscapes are "really big things" after all.
Yeah, in the Southern hemisphere, seasons are reversed, so it's Autumn where I live ( expect a Winter bonsai n the height of your summer then )

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Just wondering, what does it mean for art to be 3D? Like a video game with matrices? (Ugh, math.)
