Artist's Comments

Without those gloomy miserable rainy days, there would be no joy of the rainbow's presence, I guess Spring represents that notion quite well. It's a time of the year where rain and storms are most frequent for most areas, yet the temperature is warming up at the same time...This added boost in both heat and water is a signal for all plants to spring into life and give off their amazing annual show. And as many would have guessed, this is the third "seasonal tree" that I have added to the collection...Only Summer is left now, but that will have to wait.

The trees in each picture aren't meant to be the same one, but you can tell because they all have noticably different shapes and are located in very different landscapes, This I figured looked much better perched on top of a small hill rather than high up on a cliffside. The procedure I used to make this is similar to the others, so no point repeating myself...Mostly Vue work with heavy use of Vue's plant editor, with some Photoshop touch-ups at the end :) Spent a few days on this, just shorter than my usual time, but an extra day was added waiting for it to render, must be those spectral clouds and Global Radiosity lighting :phew:

Other seasonal bonsai trees:
Summer - Basking Bonsai
Autumn - Blushing Bonsai
Winter - Brumal Bonsai

Thankyou...I always notice some people fave a good few minutes before someone else even comments, and I wonder why they just wouldn't say at least anything just to get first comment  Oh well

You know what? :) I always look forward to your updates. Not just for the art, but because also for the vibrant description that goes along with it. It's really easy to get a sense of the subject at hand and feel like you're experiencing it. In this case, spring. Which I wish would come back--if only there was such a thing as "seasonal rewind".

Now, for this beautiful picture, I can't help but be somehow entranced by the photorealism depiction of a still calm that fills the moist air after a much-needed spring shower. :) In fact, I can practically smell the sweetness of it from where I'm viewing. That alone should say quite a bit about this natural wonder you have brought fourth in front of me today. :) Truly breathtaking when you look at the scene as a whole, or even focused in individual sections. The adorning floral arrangements scattered about add a simply rich bit of spice to the main focal point, and that being the crisp bonsai basking in full bloom. :) Fantastic usage of depth once again in the passing clouds peacefully roling by, and the rainbow hovering above does tremendous work in luring the viewer into a whole new dimension. ;)

Again, I can't stress enough of how insanely cool this is and you are, so I think I'll wrap this comment up with a much-deserved :+fav:. :highfive:

Man, after typing all that up with a Wii Remote again, it feels awesome landing on the first page for once. XP

Perhaps there's nothing to be said?

Faving a work is the same as saying "Well done, I love it" to me. :)

I'd rather just have people fave it, then seeing page after page of "i love this" and "wow" comments.

I'm never serious. Seriously.
:iconpriteeboy:
Yeah, true...though If I had the opportunity for first comment, I would have taken it anyway lol, easy for me to say, since I can't remember the last time I just said "wow, love it!" :giggle: I'm not too bothered if people fave without commenting anyway, though I admit I'm just a little more obligated to thank those who did both =p

Thanks a lot! I try to put a vivid description in with all my deviations, both talking about the concept and also how it was made, I'm amazed how some people I watch do brilliant work that sometimes gets 1000 faves in the first day, and yet they have no more to say than just "full full please, enjoy" :wtf: Aaah well, they are probably busier than I am :work:

Thanks again for the great comment, you pretty much covered everything that I forgot to mention, especially about that warm, moist air and eerie calmness that follows and afternoon Spring storm, and yeah, would be awesome to live your favourite season whenever you want to, but I guess we all need our turn, and now it's time for the Southern Hemisphere to enjoy Spring (even though it's practically over, might as well just say it's summer now :sun:)

Oh, and congrats for still making it to the first page if your'e using the Wii-mote again :XD: lucky it's been a slow comment-session tonight lol.

If someone gets over 1,000 :+fav:s in that amount of time, it's crazy. But yes, whoever the original artist/author said deviation belongs to, it'd be tough not to sympathize with them and their overflowing message center. :lmao:

No problem at all though--my pleasure. :) Glad I was able to nail the extra details in there. :D And ah man, you're so lucky. :XD: November must have a completely different definition over there in Australia. XD Which is kind of strange, almost, when compared to ours.

And heh, yep, slow one indeed. =P Still, I'm just as surprised. :D

Really awesome description. Normally people merely write "I was bored" or "I was inspired" or "This is a picture of a tree. Yay". But yours are really detailed!
And, I love the picture - xDof coursexD. *should get around to buying prints one of these days...*
