My first exhibit peice on The Luminarium (high-class art site) for their 5th total art pack given the theme "dimensions" which gave me the perfect opportunity to create something more unusual than...well, usual I have another ready to submit that I'll upload in a day or two.
My concept here is the potential idea that rather there just being one universe that we live in, that there is an endless amount or "multiverse" floating around in an infinite void even emptier than empty space itself. Some Uni-bubbles are free-floating, while others make up elaborate connections with others...they fuse, grow, divide and shrink, fading into existence and then out again, a bit like the blobs of a lava lamp.
I originally was going to have a black background, and me and the others on the Luminarium discussed this for a very long time after I changed my mind from Black to white. White was chosen since the hazy effect gave the impression of "looking under a mircroscope"...maybe our Universe is just the tiny cellular unit of something even greater?...people have gone crazy thinking about this stuff, so I'll stop
Bubbles made in Vue 6, much of the postwrk, and galaxies were illustrated in Photoshop, manipulated cleverly from fractals

I love seeing the Multiverse theory turned into art. The TV show I watched that mentioned the Multiverse didn't have any art that was this good. Thank you for making this.
When I was younger (before I got into digital art and thus was easily impressed by any of it) I used to look at the graphics in space documentaries in awe Now though that I have learned about digital art as much as I have I realize many of the effects and animations seem pretty mediocre and I kinda wish they hired me to do it, I would have done it better Still, it's better than nothing, facts are always more engaging with illustrations to go along with it
Awesome!! This totally reminds me of some apocalyptic theory in which a whole new universe grows like a bubble grows inside a universe and annihilates it. </nerd>
Lol Yeah I'm making a gigantic poster board map for it! There's graph paper on it for helping me if I make any mistakes, and planets of different shapes and dimensions/universes. My friends have their own planets for it too so collaberated my planets/their planets and planets from different series like super mario into a nice eventual fangame on the computer. Surely not as great as your works but it's great neverthless! I'll post it in a few months when It's done so keep your head up and have a look when it's done!
