A World Beneath the Earth by priteeboy A World Beneath the Earth by priteeboy
A subterranean environment complete with its own ecosystem which has evolved in isolation for millions of years. Luminous mineral water heated by geothermal energy has provided the right environment for life to survive deep underground. Plants and fungi alike rely on a luminous glow to remain seen by potential pollinators or perhaps some other use. A would-be black cavern is now lit up with an eerie light from some very unexpected sources.

This is my third and final artwork made for the Luminarium's Gaia exhibit. An inspirational collection of various artist's works centered around one of my favourite themes.
I also was chosen this time around as the featured artist too! :la: The interview page is here [link]

In that I talk about the process of making this in detail, so there's no real urgency to put that here. This was made using my most common choice in workflow though. Sampling a bit of my fave programs, each proving ways to get the best results for certain features. I put this one in the Mixed Media category since it used an almost equal amount of 3D work and Photoshop compositioning as I couldn't get the scene I desired all at once in the same 3D file.

Yeh,it was probably the most fascinating part of the game for me,there's alot of Lore behind it aswell, how the dwemer built around it and never touched the mushrooms. A truly magical place

As usual. very nice and of course very interesting. Been sick so I haven't really been attending my galleries. It has gotten colder here but the leaves are still in the trees, I guess I will be raking in the snow soon. I still have desires to escape into the worlds you create, there is a certain calming feeling for me and a peaceful one as well. Of course it would be nice to have a fellow traveler but still it has been a pretty much single journey for me in life anyway and after a while you just accept it. Keep creating, your talent knows no limits. Thank you for sharing with us and me in particular, I always look forward to your works.

You haven't miss much. Not from me anyway, I haven't been posting much because I've been spending all that time on my calendar that I'll upload later this month :eager:

I think peaceful environments are better. Living in a world with too much chaos as it is, who needs more of it
