Description

I finally jumped on the bandwagon and did one of these. Enjoy it since it was time that cost me my New year's submission (who knows, I could get it done soon enough if I feel like it, a day late isn't worth killing a 6 year tradition of mine :ohnoes:). Anyway, on with this and what each month meant:
This one has download enabled to see each "window" better.

January:
like many it fills me with a little bit of optimism. We all hope for changes. I sure I do, but I'm still realistic enough to not set my watch to it. However I'm feeling much better than before, but not all that artistic still. I wanted to make more than just my T-Shirt contest entry this month but I was at a loss of what to start as my own thing for fun before going back to commissions.

February:
The month started off rather silently, I didn't have anything to done and ready to submit until halfway through when I completed a landscape inspired by the movie Mysterious Island and soon after, jumped in on the Pokeball bandwagon and created a parody one of my own, which quickly became one of my all time most popular pieces.

March:
March was a month of high expectations crushed by disappointing reality. The month started with me finally releasing my long-running "100 Muro Drawings" project which kinda flopped compared to what I hoped. However it is still one of my proudest personal achievements. I also submitted my first official attempt at fashion design, but was not able to find an affordable maker to bring it to reality.

April:
If the most exciting aspect of April for me wasn't learning critical facts about cats on April 1st, it was going to see "The Lorax" in cinema's and then putting my own spin on the title. It was something new to try out and it was pretty fun working with such vivid colours again too.

May:
The month I couldn't have anything new to show off, so I posted the other fashion design attempt I had made earlier which relates to the jacket I had made up in March. One I also hoped getting made but couldn't. A lot of blame for the dullness of May goes to finally buying my first new laptop in 4 years and not even being able to get my programs running on it! That wasted expense and typical computer drama I always face when getting a new machine put me in no mood to produce new art for that month, even though I had to do a lot for later submissions.

June:
June had been the most eventful month so far, a polar opposite to the one just before it. June was the month I started my first "real" job, a totally new experience for me. But what matters on this site is that it was the month I managed to get three artworks uploaded within the one month. Which is rare for me. Though two of them had been in working the month before and all three were created for the Luminarium's "Gaia" exhibit. I also earned the position of featured artist for that exhibit. Yep, June was a model month for all!

July:
July saw only one submission. The seventh in my series of birthday paradise scenery. But it carried the weight of a months worth of work anyway since it was one of my most successful submissions in a long while to begin with, and then earned a Daily Deviation soon after.

August:
Most of the month was spent making this contest entry. While I still haven't fully gotten the grip with painting characters at a more-than snail's pace, I at least ended up with a result I was happy with and probably my best of those so far.

September:
Another contest entry was top priority among personal works this month. This "Draw this Again" contest was a much bigger one with thousands of entries. I had a hard time choosing which old piece to re-create. I figured it might be better to chose a "forgotten" one that little else knew about.

October:
It wasn't a good month at all. First half was spent too busy on commissions. Second half was put aside to work on what was going to be my best Halloween submission so far. But I fell incredibly sick and was bed-ridden for the remaining weeks of the month, ruining my plans. I instead managed to get something "quick" done in the remaining days of the month upon my recovery.

November:
The deadest month of them all. Thanks to demanding commissioners I barely had a few days of the month I could dedicate solely to my own work. My November submission was ten days late, but most of the work was done during the month. It is the first of it's kind I ever did too and probably the only Final Fantasy fan-art piece I was genuinely happy with.

December:
I finished the year off with a bang. At least art-wise anyway. But with limited time I still got most of what I wanted done. Any month where I submit more than just one artwork is a good month.

I think I might do this to see my progress over time. Seems like something useful to have when you grow old. :XD: Beautiful deviations as always.
